Metro New York Alumni Club Event: IN or OUT in the Workplace?
A panel of speakers will shed some light on many of the complex issues that are faced by lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) professionals in the workplace, as they grow and make changes in their careers.
Brett-Genny Janiczek Beemyn, director of UMass Amherst Stonewall Center; Rodney Byrd '77, human resources advisor for Roasting Plant, Inc. Coffee; and Michelle Kristel '86, executive director of In The Life Media, Inc.; will share their perspectives, based upon years of personal and professional experiences, as LGBT employees and managers.
This will be an interactive program, in which questions and discussion will enhance the collective experience. Everyone is welcome to attend. There will be time for networking with other UMass Amherst alumni before and after the panel.
