Lecture: Obama-Realist or Idealist?
Vincent Ferraro, the Ruth C. Lawson Professor of International Politics at Mt. Holyoke College, will be speaking about how President Obama has pursued foreign policy in his short time as Commander In Chief.
His talk will focus on the paradoxes of Obama's realist handling of policies in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq, and Russia versus his more idealistic set of policies on Iran, China, and North Korea. Professor Ferraro will explain the central principles governing those choices.
