The School of Public Health and Health Sciences 12th Annual Research Day features a presentation on educational opportunities in the department, a poster session, a featured speaker, and refreshments.
The schedule for the School of Public Health and Health Sciences 12th Annual Research Day is:
• 9:30-11:00 a.m.: Considering graduate school in public health and health sciences? Come join us for a presentation on educational opportunities in public health and health sciences at UMass. The presentation will cover what public health and health sciences is all about, why UMass Amherst is a great place to study public health and health sciences, and the programs' admissions requirements and application processes.
• 12:30-3:30 p.m.: Poster viewing and judging. This poster session is open to the campus community, as well as to adjunct faculty, alumni, and the community at large.
• 2:00 p.m.: Light refreshments.
• 4:00-5:00 p.m.: Featured speaker - David P. Ropeik B.S.J., M.S.J. He will speak on "The Risk Response: Why Our Fears Don't Match the Facts."
