Course: Financial Transactions Certificate Series

This course provides core competency training in the policies and procedures related to the financial transactions of the campus. Participants will learn how to navigate through the rules and regulations governing important processes such as procurement, accounts payable, equipment, business expenses, cash handling and internal controls.

Session I, titled "Procurement," will be held on Thursday, May 14. It will cover:
• An overview of procurement department functions and responsibilities
• Purchasing procedures
• Contracts and contracts for services

Session II, titled "Disbursements & Receipts," will be held on Thursday, May 21. It will cover:
• Accounts payable processing
• Business expense reimbursement policies
• Property and inventory purchases
• Cash handling and deposits
• Internal control considerations
