Lecture: "Perpetuation of Francisella tularensis"

Dr. Sam Telford III (Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine) will be discussing his research on tularemia, a deadly disease transmitted by ticks. Recently, an outbreak of this disease was reported in the commonwealth of Massachusetts, and Dr. Telford was involved in investigating that outbreak. Dr. Telford is an eminent scientist with over 30 years of study of vector borne infectious diseases and over 200 publications on these topics.

Ticks transmit deadly diseases
