UDANCE: Dance Marathon to Benefit Baystate Children's Hospital
The Third Annual Dance Marathon will be held to benefit the Baystate Children's Hospital. This event is sponsored by the Fraternities and Sororities of UMass Amherst.
The goal of UDANCE is to raise $33,000 to purchase an "omnibed" for the Infant Intensive Care Unit of Baystate Children's Hospital (in Springfield, Massachusetts). The fifteen-hour event features dj music and dancing, student bands, dance perfomances, and information about the hospital and the families who have used its life-saving services.
The opening ceremony is at 10:15 a.m., when families - some with a UMass connection - will be welcomed. Families will share the stories about their life-changing experiences at the hospital.
