Solving Team Problems Workshop
This is Session II of "Working Effectively with Others."
The University as a workplace requires us to interact with many other people in the course of a day. Our ability to effectively work with others, whether they are customers or coworkers, can influence our job success and satisfaction. This two-part workshop will give employees a chance to explore and learn about what they and others bring to the workplace and give participants a chance to practice important team skills such as listening and feedback.
In this workshop participants will explore the difficulty of solving problems on teams by having the opportunity to try on different roles that team members often play: the leader, the helpful follower, the cheerleader, the troublemaker, and the fixer. The contributions and challenges of each role will be explored and participants will have an opportunity to look at these roles as they relate to their own workplace situation. Participants must have attended the first session to take the second session.
