Campus Search and Hiring Process Workshop

This is Session I of the Human Resources Certificate Series.

Human Resources cover a wide range of employment, personnel, benefits and compensation services. This course provides a fundamental understanding of campus employment, from the recruitment and selection of new faculty and staff to managing specific HR status transactions. University policies, procedures, and collective bargaining agreements that govern employment will also be reviewed.

Session I covers:
• How to write an effective and accurate job description/Form 30
• An overview of campus search procedures
• How to use personnel requisitions in the recruitment and selection process
• Special considerations related to hiring international employees (non-US residents)
• US Department of Justice requirements for form I-9
