Professor Mehrling specializes in financial theory and the history of and foundations of monetary economics. His books include the award-winning biography, Fischer Black and the Revolutionary Idea of Finance (Wiley 2005), and The Interest and the Public Interest: American Monetary Thought (Harvard University Press).

The lecture is a highlight of the Isenberg School's fall semester Finance Seminar series.
