Exhibit: Enchanting the Eye: Arabic Calligraphy and Art by MJ Alhabeeb
The Student Union Art Gallery, located between People's Market and Earthfoods, presents the Arabic calligraphy and art of UMass Resource Economics professor MJ Alhabeeb as part of the Festival of Arts from the Middle East.
This exploration of the richness of Arabic culture may be seen from November 3 through 14, Mondays-Thursdays 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., Fridays 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. A reception will be held on November 3 from 5:00-7:00 p.m., as well as a calligraphy demonstration on November 6 at 5:00 p.m., for chances to meet the artist. All events are open to the public.
Directions & Parking
The Student Union Building is in the central area of the UMass campus. The Art Gallery is on the first floor of the Student Union, located on the South Side the Building, across from Earth Foods and the Cape Cod Lounge. Parking is available in the adjacent Campus Center Parking Garage.
