A Book Reading with Dr. Paula J. Giddings
Dr. Paula J. Giddings will be discussing her newest book, Ida: A Sword Among Lions.
Professor Giddings will discuss her motivation behind the book and the challenges she faced producing it. John Bracey will introduce her and pose questions to her. After the discussion she will stick around to sell and sign the book for interested parties. Light refreshments will be served.
This event is presented by the Afro-American Studies Department in conjunction with the Association for the Study of African American Life and History-Amherst Branch.
