Talk: Fair Trade & Sustainability
Net Impact UMass Amherst is hosting its Fall 2008 Fair Trade and Sustainability Keynote and Networking Event with Dean Cycon, the founder of Dean's Beans Organic Coffee Company. The format of the evening will be a 30-45 minute keynote address from Dean Cycon regarding all aspects of Dean's Beans' fair trade, sustainability, and social justice initiatives, followed by a moderated Q&A session from the audience.
Immediately following the presentation there will be a networking reception featuring Dean's Beans coffee and local organic baked goods.
All Net Impact members, UMass students, faculty and alumni, and the local community are welcome and encouraged to attend (public welcome). The keynote address is free. We will be collecting a $3 entrance fee into the networking reception afterwards to help cover the cost of the organic baked goods and the ceramic mug you will receive to take home with you.
