University Women's Network Speaker Luncheon
The topic for this University Women's Network Speaker/Luncheon will be "Student Veteran Services on Campus."
Judy Gagnon, Coordinator of the Military Community Resource Center (MCRC), the Center for Student Development (CSD), and a UWN member, talks about the CSD and the recently developed MCRC, which was created to assist student veterans in transitioning from the military to student life. MCRC has developed a network of support services for students, including peer support programs, counseling, and referrals.
The Center is also an advocate for the student veteran community with regard to their concerns and acts as a liaison between the student veteran community and the university administration, state and federal governments and community government officials.
