Data Security
Handling sensitive data appropriately requires building on the strong technical defenses we have developed on our campus. We can do this by engaging with individual departments and offices to build an inventory of sensitive data assets, raise awareness of relevant laws and policies, and work with the units to modify their business and work flow processes so that they encompass stronger controls. This presentation will cover the ongoing efforts of the UMass Amherst campus in complying with PCI-DSS and state identity theft laws.
