Talk: David Maraniss "Playing for Keeps: Race, Sports, and Politics"

David Maraniss , Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and associate editor at The Washington Post, will deliver a talk entitled "Playing for Keeps: Race, Sports, and Politics."

Maraniss is the author of "First in His Class: A Biography of Bill Clinton" and "Clemente: The Passion and Grace of Baseball's Last Hero". His most recent book came out this summer: "Rome 1960: The Olympics That Changed the World". He began his career in Madison, Wisconsin as a student journalist and then worked at The Times of Trenton in New Jersey before joining the Post in 1977. He is currently covering the Obama campaign.
