4th Annual String Day
For junior and senior high school string players, their parents, private and classroom teachers, and &orchestra conductors: a great way to experience music at the college level.
With Professors Elizabeth Chang, violin; Kathryn Lockwood, viola; Astrid Schween, cello; Salvatore Macchia, contrabass; and advanced UMass string players
9:30-10am: Registration, Room 149
10:30am: Concert by String faculty, Bezanson Recital Hall
11:30am: Masterclass for selected participants, Bezanson Recital Hall
1:00pm: Lunch, Room 149 (provided)
2:15pm: String Day Orchestra– calling all string players from 5 to 100 years of age! Please bring your instruments.
4:00pm: String Day Orchestra Mini-Performance and Raffle Prize drawing.
