Tang Lecture: Cellular Communication - What a Ride!
Roberto Padovani, Ph.D. will deliver the ninth annual Tang Lecture, presented by the College of Engineering at UMass Amherst. Dr. Padovani’s theme will be “Cellular Communication: What a Ride!”
Dr. Padovani is executive vice president and chief technology officer for Qualcomm Incorporated. In this role, he is responsible for the oversight of Qualcomm's overall research and development efforts. Dr. Padovani holds more than 70 patents on wireless systems. In 2006, he was elected to the National Academy of Engineering.
