A Canadian resident of Arabic heritage, Izidore Musallam's groundbreaking cinematic work moves across national boundaries and explores changing identities. Born in Haifa, Israel and educated as a filmmaker at York University, Musallam has the distinction of being the director of Saudi Arabia 's first ever feature film, Keif al Hal (How's it Going? 2006), among others.

Simon Shaheen is one of the most significant Arab musicians, performers, and composers of his generation. His work incorporates and reflects a legacy of Arabic music, while it forges ahead to new frontiers, embracing many different styles in the process. He has contributed selections to soundtracks for The Sheltering Sky and Malcom X, and composed the entire soundtrack for the Untied Nations-sponsored documentary, For Everyone Everywhere.
