Permaculture and Gardening Work Day at UMass Gardenshare
Students, community members, professors, faculty, young and old, everyone is welcome! Come to UMass Gardenshare for the second work day/party this summer! The first one was a great success, a ton of fun, and really yummy! The garden looks great but misses laughter and the sense of community!
We have a lot to do and need your help. There's a ton of weeding and planning and planting the edible forest garden (we have tons of amazing plants like bamboo, paw paw, hardy kiwi...) There's also a lot to harvest these days. Come with a bag/box and a pair of scissors to enjoy the bounty.
There will be a potluck/BBQ in the fire pit in the evening so bring some veggies, veggie pups, and hamburgers to grill up or another dish! Feel free to bring instruments, too :)
Directions & Parking
The garden is located on Tilson Farm Rd. beyond the fire station. Go through the center of Amherst, stay straight through the lights on E. Pleasant St., up the hill and on the right above the Sylvan dorms is the road. There is a red shed and parking along the road.
