8th Annual Pond Club Golf Tournament
The UMass Hockey Team and the Pond Club invite you to the 8th Annual Pond Club Golf Tournament to raise funds for the hockey program.
This year's event is again being held at the Orchards Golf Club in South Hadley, site of the 2004 Women's US Open Golf Tournament. The Orchards was designed by legendary golf course architect, Donald Ross, and opened in 1922. In the last two years, approximately $26,000 has been raised with this event.
Every golfer will receive a complimentary gift for participating in this year's event. Each golfer will also receive a sleeve of UMass logo golf balls, pre-tournament breakfast, and the post tournament dinner. Prizes will be awarded to winning teams, for the longest drive (men's and ladies), and closest to the pin contests on selected holes. Numerous items including sports memorabilia, gift certificates, and other prizes will be raffled off or bid for in silent auction. There will also be an opportunity to compete directly against Coach Don "Toot" Cahoon on the par-three tenth hole.
