Open House at the Amherst Family Center & Mother's Day Celebration
Enjoy a yummy light breakfast at 9:30 a.m.
This will be followed by a rocking family-friendly Mother's Day performance with Debbi Friedlander at 10:00 a.m. Debbi Friedlander brings energy and enthusiasm to the stage with her wide-ranging repertoire of traditional and untraditional songs, which beg for audience participation from wee ones and adults alike. Following the performance, children will be given a flower to present to their caregiver in honor of Mother's Day.
The Art Cycles Program begins at 10:45 a.m. Join Amherst artist, mother and grandmother Janet Winston. With support from the Amherst Family Center's teaching staff, children will create their own green-themed projects using a wide range of natural materials. Open to any campus family with a young child aged 2 to 6.
Take a Center tour and explore what the Center has to offer. The Amherst Family Center is a free support program for local families with children aged 0 to 5+.
