Workshop: Job Opportunities in New Orleans
Learn about the New Orleans Young Urban Rebuilding Professionals Initiative (NOLA YURP) from members Nathan Rothstein (2006 UMass alumnus) and Kendrick Pullen, who will speak about the condition of the city from a young person's perspective and what type of opportunities are available. They will discuss what young people are able to achieve and what type of networks are available for them to plug into once they arrive, in addition to different ways to help the city from college campuses.
Erin FitzPatrick (Class of 2008) will share her photographs of New Orleans and talk about her experiences in the city.
Students from the Alternative Spring Break programs in New Orleans will also speak about their experiences. There will be a question and answer period at the end.
