Hybrid Car Show
Interested in environmentally friendly transportation?
Interested in test-driving a hybrid car?
Massachusetts Public Interest Group is sponsoring a car show in the Horseshoe of the Southwest Residential Area. The car show will bring several hybrid vehicles from a variety of dealerships in the area. Representatives will be present to answer student questions about the process and viability of hybrid cars.
Bring your valid drivers license to the Southwest horseshoe off of University Drive, and test drive some of the newest hybrid car models for free!
The purpose of the event is to expose and educate students to a more environmentally friendly alternative form of transportation, such as the hybrid. This hands-on demonstration will hopefully create awareness of more-efficient uses of resources. The event will not only focus on showing off hybrid cars answering students question, it will also give students a chance to send postcards to their State Senators urging them to vote yes on the Global Warming Solutions Act. The bill will enforce a 20 percent reduction in emissions in 2020, and 80 percent reduction by 2050.
