Teach for America 5K Run

Teach for America, the national philanthropy of national honors fraternity Phi Sigma Pi, is an organization dedicated to education. Their mission is to make a positive change in school systems in low-income communities. They are driven to keep our country's youth focused and in school. A major issue is rooted in the educational inequity that persists along socioeconomic and racial lines. Teach for America believes that when students in low-income communities are given the educational opportunities they deserve, they excel. The goal of the 5K race is to raise awareness and money for Teach for America, benefiting low-income students nationwide.

Registration is at 9:00 a.m. The race begins at 10:00 a.m. Meet at the UMass Amherst Fine Arts Center. T-shirts will be on sale for an additional $5.
