UMass Guitar Hero Tournament
The UMass RSO PUSH America Club will host a "Guitar Hero Tournament" to raise funds for the national nonprofit PUSH America. The event which will be held in both the John Adams and Washington Towers in the Southwest residential area is open to all UMass students with a valid ID.
The Tournament is a chance for UMass students to battle for the unofficial title of "UMass Guitar Hero." Prizes will be awarded to both first place and runner-up. There will be multiple game set-ups running at a time in both Washington and John Adams Towers. Also, there will be a raffle with sweet Hero-related prizes donated by local vendors.
To preregister: email PushAmericaUmass@gmail.com with your full name and the entrance fee will be $3 (to be paid the day of the Tournament). Registration day of the Tournament is $5 at the door. To all Top Rockers: If you are willing to loan your Guitar Hero game and/or Xbox, Wii or Playstation to the event, the club will gladly waive your registration fee and you will automatically be entered into the raffle for cool prizes.
PUSH America Club is a chapter of the national nonprofit PUSH America which seeks to "Build the leaders of tomorrow by serving people with disabilities today." On campus, the club works alongside the University Disabilities Service, participates in ramp buildings at the homes of disabled people in the Amherst community, and works to increase awareness of those with disabilities among other activities.
