White Ribbon Campaign
The White Ribbon Campaign is the largest effort in the world of men working to end men's violence against women. Wearing a white ribbon is a personal pledge never to commit, condone nor remain silent about violence against women.
We ask men in the UMass community to wear a ribbon for a few weeks, starting on November 14 until December 6. We encourage men to talk in schools, workplaces, and places of worship about the problem of violence. We will ask men to sign a pledge against violence. There will be information tables at various locations to discuss the problem of violence and encourage men to take action.
