About the poets:

The wild Kyle J. Wood makes its home in the forested mountains of central Vermont. This seemingly gentle creature thrives off a steady diet of ice cream, maple syrup, and poetry. Typical Kyle J. Woods reach adulthood somewhere around 22 years of age, and die of old age before their 24th year. This leaves a short window in which to make their mark, so many Kyle J. Woods share a deep seated ambition for money and power which sometimes manifests as an irresistible urge to write poetry. To this end they often migrate south towards institutions of higher learning where poetry tends to congregate. Kyle J. Wood is a Peer Mentor in Van Meter Hall.

Jackie Wasneski is a graduate student of poetry. She is currently the senior intern for Wave Books in Easthampton, Massachusetts. She envisions herself someday owing a tearoom, writing young adult fiction, hosting her own cable access show, doing freelance interior design, or possibly/maybe even using her MFA to earn her daily bread. Wasneski hails from NJ, and she is enamored of the ocean, the ocean. She is also an instructor in Van Meter Hall.

Kyle McCord is a large, frightening monster who lives in a cave near King Hrothgar's castle. Despite his bestial appearance, Kyle can speak in a language akin to that of Hrothgar and his people. He is an MFA Poetry candidate at UMass-Amherst. This last year Christian Hawkey selected his submission for the Academy of American Poets. He has work forthcoming or published from Columbia: a Journal of Art and Literature, Asheville Poetry Review, DIAGRAM!, Fourteen Hills, and elsewhere. He's an editorial assistant for jubilat and The Beloit Poetry Journal. He feels alone but can never relate to men, because he can't stop himself from eating them. McCord teaches in Van Meter Hall.
