Thanksgiving Food Drive
How will YOU help provide a Thanksgiving Dinner for 70 local families in need? Here are ways we hope you will help this annual project:
1) Donate non-perishable canned goods (appropriate for a Thanksgiving celebration) to the collection bins located throughout the Newman Center (between now and Nov. 17th).
2) Donate money to help defray the cost of "turkey vouchers" which will be included in each family's Thanksgiving Basket. Money can be dropped at the Newman Student's office (in the Newman Center) or at our table display in the Campus Center Concourse from now until Nov. 17th. (Checks made payable to Newman Center/TFD).
3) Join us for Action Day on Sun., Nov. 18th at 11:30am in the Newman Center cafeteria. At that time, we will sort the cans/vouchers/produce/cards into Thanksgiving Baskets and assign teams of people to deliver the baskets to the family's homes around the Amherst area. Drivers are needed.
