University Dancers, directed by Thomas Vacanti, presents its annual fall season dance concert. Works include:
There is a Time: modern work by pioneer José Limón, restaged by new UMass Amherst faculty member Paul Dennis, a 20-year member of the José Limón Dance Co.
Exodus: Africanist-modern work by leading New York City choreographer Ron K. Brown.
Tears of Joy: reconstruction of jazz piece created by Richard Jones, long-time member UMass Amherst Dance faculty.
Also, new works by Marilyn Middleton (African dance), Tom Vacanti (ballet) & Billbob Brown (jazz).
