Tuesdays in Bezanson: Vocal Chamber Music
UMass Amherst faculty musicians and advanced students will perform chamber music by Ravel, Bolcom and Vaughan Williams.
Ravel: Chansons Madécasses for soprano, flute, cello & piano.
Bolcom: Songs of Innocence and Experience (settings of Blake for voice & piano).
Vaughan Williams: On Wenlock Edge & Ten Blake Songs for oboe & high voice.
Faculty performers: Janna Baty, soprano; William Hite, tenor; Christopher Krueger, flute; Fredric T. Cohen, oboe; Elizabeth Chang, violin; and Deborah Gilwood, piano.
Advanced student performers: Benjamin van Vliet, violin; Mariana Jelen, viola; Nicole Fizznoglia, cello; and Nicholas Gold, cello.
At 7:15 p.m., there will be a pre-concert talk given by UMass Amherst English Professor Joselyn Almeida-Beveridge titled Innocence Lost and Innocence Regained, followed by question and answer session.
