Solar Cooker BBQ
This student-run event will show the values and benefits of solar-cooking. Those invited include, students from UMass, members of the community, and distinguished guests. Some invited guests include: Senator Rosenberg, Senator Candaras, Chancellor Thomas Cole, Vice-Chancellor Michael Gargano, Representative Ellen Story, and Vice-Chancellor Joyce Hatch.
All are invited to intent to enjoy hot dogs and veggie burgers, grilled on a clean solar powered grill.
This is a chance to see friends and neighbors enjoying the American past time of grilling without damaging the environment. UMass students have realized the issues emerging due to global warming. This event serves as one of many events to spread awareness to a larger population in the spirit of UMass.
