An Evening With Poet Paul Mariani
Come hear poet Paul Mariani, former Distinguished Professor of English at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and current holder of the Chair in Poetry at Boston College, read from past work and from his most recent collection, Deaths and Transfigurations. Author of numerous books of prose including Thirty Days: On Retreat with the Exercises of St. Ignatius, and his forthcoming biography of Gerard Manley Hopkins (Viking), Mariani movingly explores the spiritual life as a poet and a teacher. Refreshments and conversation with the poet following.

Directions & Parking
The Ark is located on the northwest corner of Eastman Lane and North Pleasant Street, and can be accessed by walking up the side driveway and around back to the stone path which leads to the entrance doors. Parking is available in UMass Lot 43 off Eastman Lane, directly across the street from the Center.
