International Movie Series: Asoka
The Student Activities Center and International Programs Office presents the International Movie Series: Asoka. This historical epic depicts the life of Emperor Asoka who held the throne of Mahadha in the third century BC and wanted to expand his kingdom. Asoka feels the guilt of his actions and embarks on a personal journey in which he experiences love, betrayal, and rebirth. He renounces his violent past and dedicates his life to spreading non-violent practices of Buddhism across the world. Directed by Santosh Sivan.
