The Nexus Magazine General Interest Meeting
What is the Nexus Magazine?
-A magazine that brings people together to embrace diversity on our campus and in the greater society. The main goal of the magazine is to open a diaogue on a variety of social issues through the arts. The magazine will engage and challenge readers to think about their world in the broader context of race, class, gender, faith, age, etc. We NEED to bring social issues into the open forum in our society. Issues dealing with race, sex, LBGT, and class need reflection and discussion.
What we're looking for?
We're looking for students from UMass and other universities to submit articles, poetry, artwork, photopgrahy, lyrics, etc. that deal with issues of social equality and justice. We're also looking for people to join our graphic arts (magazine layout) team and permanent contributors team for the magazine.
FOR MORE INFORMATION - Join us for our first general interest meeting on Thursday October 21 at 7 PM in the BLUEWALL. *Look out for signs for where the meeting is in the BLUEWALL*
