Voices mimic the sounds of the trumpet in works by Purcell & Telemann & follow a theme of transcending hardships in the Sanskrit text of Gate, Gate, the spiritual Goin' up a Yonder & Stephen Chatman's Remember. Also works by living composers: Robert Stern's A Rushing of New Waters & Robert Ruplenas' Three Cynical Settings
