Plant Biology And Bioenergy Symposium

The Plant Biology Graduate Program presents the Fifth Annual Symposium in Plant Biology. Talks will be held in the Engineering Lab II Auditorium (ECSC II- room 119) and a poster session featuring the research of attendees along with lunch and a reception with the speakers will be on the 10th floor of the Campus Center. Fifth Annual Symposium in Plant Biology Registration

The speakers represent a spectrum of authorities on various aspects of biofuels research, and the day is certain to touch on every aspect of the basic biology surrounding biofuels development. This symposium promises to be a stimulating event for anyone interested in the potential and challenges of making cellulosic biofuels a reality. Speakers for this year's symposium are: Fred Ausubel, Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital; Dan Cosgrove, Pennsylvania State University; Stephen Long, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign; Chris Somerville, Carnegie Institution and Stanford University; Kenneth Vogel, USDA and University of Nebraska; Susan Leschine, UMass Amherst.
