Student Bridges Informational Meeting

Come learn about Student Bridges, a student-initiated outreach program that connects UMass students with Holyoke schools and community-based organizations through academic tutoring-mentoring, college awareness activities, and policy advocacy. Holyoke is a racially diverse, post-industrial city less than half an hour from UMass.

Student Bridges offers a range of opportunities for UMass students, including internships, independent studies, and a new four-credit honors course that meets on Tuesday nights and includes a mandatory community service learning component.

The mission of Student Bridges is to build reciprocal relationships between University of Massachusetts Amherst students and local communities in order to enrich the campus and to increase access to higher education for underrepresented students.
