Film: Congo Pa'ti
As part of the Center for Latin American, Caribbean and Latino Studies Film Series, the film CONGO PA'TI will be screened. A talk given by Karin Weyland, the filmmaker, will follow the screening.
The video documentary CONGO PA'TI gives recognition to the resistance shown by Afro-Dominican cultural manifestations in the face of poverty and denial, giving special attention to the role of Black women.
