National Coming Out Day
This year Pride Alliance will celebrate National Coming Out Day, with the theme of "Come Out & Vote." Wear jeans and a white t-shirt to come out or just to support those who are. A rally will be held at the Student Union steps from 12:00 – 1:00 PM and will feature State Representative Ellen Story, from the Amherst district, as the keynote speaker. She will speak about the important events of last spring surrounding same-sex marriage and why the GLBTQQA community needs to "Come Out & Vote." The Student Center for Education & Research Advocacy (SCERA) will be registering students to vote. So come down to the rally to register to vote, hear some great speeches, or just enjoy some Coming Out Day cake! Brought to you by the UMass Pride Alliance in collaboration with the Stonewall Center.
