Cuba-Film Festival

In conjunction with its 4th Summer Film Institute, SOLIDARITY! DEFA and Latin America, and the release of the new Cuban Masterworks Collection, the DEFA Film Library at the University of Massachusetts Amherst is pleased to announce the Cuba-Film Festival 2007. We will screen a total of seven films spanning five decades, all by renowned Cuban filmmakers and/or about Cuba. All films are in Spanish with English subtitles.

Films include: The Twelve Chairs (Las doce sillas); A Successful Man (Un hombre de exito); Cecilia; The Adventures of Juan Quin Quin (Las aventuras de Juan Quinquin); Amada; I am Cuba (Soy Cuba); and Cuba - the Siberian Mammoth (Soy Cuba, O Mamute Siberiano).

The festival is free and open to the public, with the exception of the Sunday screening of I am Cuba at the Amherst Cinema Arts Center, where admission will be charged.

Directions & Parking

Stirn Auditorium is located in the Mead Art Museum, Room 115, at Amherst College. The Mead Art Museum is located off the east side of the main quadrangle on campus.
