Jazz in July: "Copyright and Downloading Music 411"

Jazz in July (July 9 - July 20) brings together talented amateur musicians to train with some of the industry's most respected artists for two weeks of intensive study in jazz improvisation every summer - and live performance, open to the public, is an integral part of the program mix.

The Jazz in July Lecture and Performance Series is a unique opportunity for jazz fans, students and teachers to connect with the music and musicians who teach and perform at Jazz in July each summer. Every lecture/performance/demonstration features one or more faculty artists expanding on his or her insights and approaches to topics within the broader scope of what is jazz.

"Copyright and Downloading Music 411" is a lecture by saxophonist and internet entrepreneur Jacob Epstein (CEO of RECOL) that explores issues surrounding musicians with regard to U.S. copyright laws and downloading digital music files off the internet.
