Poetry Reading and Play

The Chuckwagon, a small Southampton press, and The Missoula Oblongata, a theater company out of Northampton, present a duet of performances.

The Chuckwagon, a press run by Sean Casey (MFA '07), presents authors Brad Flis (MFA '07), Carson Cistulli (MFA '07), Sean O’Keefe, Donna Sellinger, Madeline ffitch (MFA '09), and Michael Casey for a reading of poetry and fiction on Thursday, June 14, at 8 PM, at Amherst Books.

The Missoula Oblongata, a local theater company run by Madeline ffitch (MFA '09) and Donna Sellinger, presents its new play, The Most Mysterious Day of the Year on Friday, June 15 at 8pm, at The Unitarian Society of Northampton. Directed by Sarah Lowry, the play features an original score by Robert O’Brien. A madcap yet trenchant look at the human condition, the play contains detectives, a parakeet, and a kaleidoscope convention.

Michael Casey is author of several books of poetry, most recently Permanent Party (March Street Press), and Cindi’s Fur Coat (Chuckwagon), and The Bopper (Kendra Steiner Editions).

Carson Cistulli (MFA '07) is author of Some Common Weaknesses Illustrated (Casagrande Press) and Assorted Fictions (Chuckwagon).

Madeline ffitch (MFA '09) is a fiction writer and member of The Missoula Oblongata theater company along with Donna Sellinger, with whom she authored the play, Wonders of the World: Recite (Chuckwagon).

Brad Flis (MFA '07) is author of Health Pack (Chuckwagon). He blogs at merzmag.blogspot.com.

Sean O’Keefe is author of Did You Know That You Could Heal Yourself? (Chuckwagon). O’Keefe has fronted several bands, including The Houston Cassettes and Jill/Jennifer Sound. He currently records under the name Lukas Tester.

Donna Sellinger is a clown, playwright, and member of The Missoula Oblongata theater company along with Madeline ffitch, with whom she authored the play, Wonders of the World: Recite (Chuckwagon).
