Vigil for Virginia Tech

Al members of the UMass community are invited to join together for an hour of reflection, remembrance, and healing in the wake of the recent tragedy at Virginia Tech.

Andrew Ramsey, a student of comparative literature in Commonwealth College; Mara Seidel, JCSC Fellow at Hillel; and Christian Rojas, assistant professor in the Department of Resource Economics; will offer brief reflections on their associations with and hopes for Virginia Tech.

The hour includes contemplative music and an opportunity to compose letters or art work of condolence for Virginia Tech. Participants may choose to form small discussion groups with helping professionals following the vigil.

This event is organized by members of the Religious Affairs Committee with the assistance of the Center for Student Development and Campus Life. For information, contact Chris Clark, chrisclark@external.umass.edu or 413.549.0300 x14.
