Brown-Bag Talk: Motherhood - The Elephant in the Laboratory
The Science, Technology and Society Initiative invites you to attend a brown-bag talk on women in science, featuring Dr. Emily Monosson. Dr. Monosson’s book, Motherhood: The Elephant in the Laboratory, is an informative and engaging book for women scientists and career women at all stages of their careers who are balancing career and family or who are contemplating parenthood. The aim of this book is to initiate a national discussion about science, work, and motherhood, by highlighting the unique accomplishments and challenges of women, as scientists and as mothers, with the ultimate goal of redefining the concept of “career” scientist.
