Cultivating Hope, Harvesting Action
The 5th Regional Conference on Rural Poverty and Social Change will address issues from health care and job training to transportation and affordable housing.
The underlying theme of this year's conference is the Changing Faces of Rural Poverty. Our keynote speaker and the multi-cultural fashion show highlight this theme along with our presentation of "Connecting Voices of Rural Poverty." As in past years, the goal of the conference is to raise awareness about the unique needs of rural areas, and to increase knowledge in order to mobilize those who care about rural poverty around a common agenda.
The conference is organized by the Frankin Community Action Corporation.
