Men's Rugby at Amherst College
Men's rugby takes to the pitch against Amherst College.
The University of Massachusetts Rugby Football Club was established in 1968. It is a Registered Student Organization, whose funding is wholly the responsibility of the Rugby Football Club and its members. The university does supply some matching funds for rugby union dues, referees, equipment, and supplies. The UMass RFC plays matches with other rugby clubs, at the College and University level as well as club sides primarily from New England.
