Paula Chakravartty (Communication) - parenting while at UMass, MSP family issues

Format:

Panelists present on selected topics (during lunch)

Brief Q and A

Break-out sessions (2 or 3) facilitated by panelists and members of the Faculty Senate Council on the Status of Women.

We hope to reveal (through theory and example) how more progressive policies will increase the hiring and retention of women, building a stronger and more diverse workforce at UMass-Amherst.

Comments will be compiled and published in a follow up report and archived on the SOWC's Faculty Senate website.

Current family-related benefits information for all campus unions will be available at the Forum. Union representatives will be encouraged to bring their constituents' concerns back to their respective unions and the Administration.

Many thanks to our sponsors: Departments of Engineering, Food Science, Labor Studies, and Natural Resources Conservation; Office of Family Resources, Early Childhood and Learning Laboratory, Everywoman’s Center, and Faculty Senate.
