Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc. Informational Session

We are a fraternity centered on social service that was founded on September 19, 1963 at Morgan State College, now known as Morgan State University, in Baltimore, MD. Our purpose is "The Development and Perpetuation of Scholarship, Leadership, Citizenship, Fidelity, and Brotherhood among Men."

We strive to make better leaders and citizens without detracting from the individual characteristics that make a person unique. From its inception, the fraternity set out to foster and harness adaptation as an everlasting need in a constantly changing world, which seeks to ensure we are always keeping up with the times. This ideology ties into our motto "Building A Tradition, Not Resting Upon One".

The Beta Beta Chapter of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc. was chartered at the University of Massachusetts Amherst on September 19, 1983 and has continued to build a tradition at the university and surrounding communities ever since.
