• Renewable and Distributed Generation of Electricity:active solar, wind, fuel cell, bio-energy, and hydro-technologies;
• Alternate Fuels: ethanol, biodiesel, other biofuels, and hydrogen;
• Energy Efficiency and Demand Response: electricity end use, building energy use management, and grid applications;
• Transportation: high efficiency vehicles, engines using alternate fuels, and traffic optimization;
• Energy Storage and Enabling Technologies: storage, power electronics, cables and wires, sensors and instrumentation, control systems, materials and manufacturing technology; and
• Green Buildings and High-Performance Systems: sustainable design and integrated clean energy applications.
