Homecoming Bonfire
This event has been canceled because of a forecast of inclement weather.
Statement from The UMass Amherst Center for Student Development:
Due to approaching inclement weather that is forecast for this area on October 20, we are cancelling the Homecoming Bonfire.
We do so with the safety of our students in mind, both for those building the fire and those that would be attending the event in the evening.
However, we still encourage you to show your UMass Amherst spirit by attending the other Homecoming events, on Saturday including the Homecoming 5k, MinuteFan Park, and of course the football game against the Rhode Island Rams!
Also, don’t forget that there are still tickets available for Saturday night’s Verizon Wireless tour with the All American Rejects, ImaRobot, Under the Influence of Giants and damone. Tickets are $15 and are available in the Mullins Center Box Office or through Ticketmaster.
